ABOUT ME

I believe that happy people in a happy organization work better. "Happier" is not just how we all want to live and work. It is a significant competitive advantage at the very base of organizational effectiveness, performance, and profit.

My life journey

Curiosity, the desire to evolve, to overcome barriers, and limiting assumptions, have always defined me.
As a young adult, I felt pretty caged in the social values and habits of the charming Italian town where I grew up. I could not wait to break free and explore. And I did it: I studied oriental languages, and one month after graduation, I was on a plane headed towards life in Japan; officially to continue my studies with a Master in a prestigious university but above all driven by an immense curiosity to experience and grow.

Tokyo is where my career in Fashion started almost by accident. It is also where, living in a truly multicultural environment,  I developed an international mindset and a love for cultural diversity.
For me, these are two essential values that have influenced my personal and professional journey over the years.

My values

If I use a metaphor drawn from the fragrance world to describe my personality, my character’s "top notes" would be high energy, warmth, and enthusiasm.
These are the things people note first about me- my capacity to energize, listen deeply, and truly put the person at the heart of the work, creating a safe space where anything can be shared without judgment and with complete trust.
The "heart notes" would be my intuition, my ability to get under the skin of an issue, my genuine curiosity towards the inner working of personal and organizational dynamics that guides my inquiry, and my capacity to challenge acquired patterns.
Finally, the "base notes" would be my deep belief in positive regard, compassion, and every person’s intrinsic worthiness.

Professionally, I firmly believe that:  "happy" people in a "happy" organization work "better."
"Better"  means  "in ways that serve both the individual (self-actualization) and the organization (purpose and profit)
"Happy" is an individual that feels seen,  fulfilled, nurtured, empowered to speak out and make decisions, clear about his/her goals and contribution. Such a person works with purpose and effectiveness.
"Happy" is an organization where the quality of the leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaborations lead to an environment that is at the same time driven and positive.

An executive career in luxury fashion

I have emerged into consulting from a 20 years Executive career in Luxury Fashion that has seen me work for household names across a number of geographies.
Having lead teams in different organizations, attained an MBA, experienced diverse professional cultures,  I have built a solid expertise in how a product is planned, designed, and executed.
And also a vision of how this can be done efficiently, how team culture influences the whole process for better or for worse, making it more or less sustainable from an environmental and human point of view.

I now work with companies and individuals going through some of the challenges I know so well in a macro context that more than ever calls for a new leadership paradigm, innovative solutions, and a fresh mindset.

A fully qualified coach

Managing large teams, I have done a fair amount of coaching and mentoring throughout my career.
My ICF accredited qualification has added a structured approach to individual and organizations’ challenges, a set of practical tools to deploy.
I have always been fascinated by the complexity and variety of human experience:  Some people can bounce back from adverse events, reinvent, adopt new habits while others struggle with it; some thrive in an organization and build fulfilling interpersonal relationships, while for others, this seems to be out of reach.

I have come to see that, in fact, there is no "can't" - there is only awareness, mindset, commitment, and action.
I love to coach people to this discovery and, above all, to realize their resourcefulness and power to shape their lives.
